Professional Building

The Professional Building was built in Temple, TX in 1929. Temple was promoted as a hospital center, especially for railroad workers. Local doctors got together and built a nearby building, the Kyle, for people visiting them. Soon afterwards the Professional Building and Hawn Hotel were constructed. These buildings were not meant for luxury however - the rooms are extremely small. A restoration project was started about 25 years ago and new windows were put in, however interest died out and the building stands today vacant and crumbling on the inside.
